Just a thought.
Knowledge inspires
but can disappoint as well.
Books are to
blame for both. Blis is the driver of a car that has no knowledge of that which is under the bonit. (Hood in
American English) Of his or her vehicle. You turn
the key or push a button or insert a code and
the thing makes a Noyes, and it moves when you instruct it to do so. The only thing you have to remember is to
full it up with a smelly liquid. That
almost all wars on earth are now created around and about. Petrol is refined
from oil.
Interesting thought when petrol cars are phased out, and
petrol is no longer king, will it cut down
the need to create wars around it? Could this be a turning point were the earth gets a little more at peace?
So there you
are in bliss driving your car and if it stops for some reason and it's not run out of petrol, or diesel you Phone a friend, an,
AA, or green flag, or RAC and a man or woman turns up and look under and at
that thing that makes a Noyes. Then informs you its fixable there anas then, or
it’s a critical illness that requires a visit to the garage a car Hospital. Pity
there is no NHS for cars. Instead, you will have to pay through the ass just to
have it looked at, a bit like the USA medical situation. And God forbid if you need
a new part fitted. Both car and body will bankrupt you, at least it's only the
car that will break your balls with a bill, hospitals are free in the UK.
This is where knowledge becomes a dangerous and anxious, and downright worrying
thing. If you have learnt just how that thing in the front of your car or some has
it in the back, works, then you listen to it's every Noyes or note or rattle. Wondering
if, worrying if that or this Noyes was there yesterday or what is that now? That’s
odd? Could that be tappets, a piston ring or a drive bearing!!! The imagination
will run amuck. So ignorance can be Bliss.
I found out something that’s somewhat disappointing, as I lay in bed with
a cup of tea listening to an audiobook this morning. ( well I am retired and
can stay in bed as long as I like.)
Now Has anyone heard of Mr Dunbar?
No, nor had I. This guy worked out that the largest group of friends you
can have is 150 the maximum social unit the brain can deal with. Its called Dunbar's
Number. And it relates to the size of your brain it can be seen in the size of
how many friends you have in the real world and online.
So with that, I began to think as I sipped my tea, On Facebook, I only
have around 20 friends and in the real world around 3 friends discluding family
members. What does that say about the size of my brain ?????? or yours.
